Join Santa Clara Open Space Authority, Discover Coyote Valley, Committee for Green Foothills & WERC for a summer picnic evening in Coyote Valley!
Saturday, July 12, 4 PM – 8 PM
Coyote Valley Open Space Preserve – 550 Palm Ave, San Jose
(At the western end of Palm Ave.)
The theme for this evening is BIRDS BIRDS BIRDS. Come and see some rehabilitated and rescued hawks, falcons and owls, even a confused woodpecker! The late afternoon will start with a bird presentation meet and greet with the WERC birds of prey (With live birds you get to see up close and learn all about), followed by a hike to go find and see the local, wild birds of prey. End the night with a community picnic while learning more about the Coyote Valley.
4 PM See rehabilitated birds of prey up close with W.E.R.C. (Wildlife Education and Rehabilitation Center).
5 PM Hike around the Coyote Valley Open Space Preserve in the late after noon, a perfect time for birding.
7 PM Enjoy an evening picnic and learn about the Coyote Valley. Drinks and snacks provided. Bring your own dinner, or order a meal in advance through us! (see below)
